The Pediatric-Surgical Hospital, which is a donation of 22 million Euros from the United Arab Emirates for the health of Kosovo, started working today at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo.

Pursuant to the Action Plan for the functioning of this hospital, today, on the first day of the functioning of this hospital, two operations of children were performed and the specialized ambulance for children, pediatric emergency and specialist surgery started working there.

The services of pediatric hemato-oncology, pediatric surgery and internal medicine services for children have been functionalized within this hospital, while neo-onatology, orthopedic services and other services for children are expected to be transferred.

The pediatric-surgical hospital will integrate the services of

pediatric medical emergencies;

those of Trauma;

Observation and Recovery services;

specialized pediatric and surgical ambulance services;

Pediatric Radiology Unit;

Urgent and planned operating rooms;

Unit of Day Surgery and Pediatric Endoscopy;

Central sterilization;

Intensive treatment of children and newborns;

Department of Pediatric Surgery and Department of Pediatric Oncology.

The pediatric-surgical hospital at UCCK is expected to mark a significant turning point in terms of the quality of tertiary health services to be provided to children in Kosovo.

The Ministry of Health thanked on this occasion the United Arab Emirates for this capital and generous investment for the children of Kosovo.

Otherwise, the Minister of Health, Rifat Latifi during an interview on the show "Confrontation" with Muhamet Hajrullahu on Telegrafi.com had stated that the Pediatric Hospital, which is a donation from the United Arab Emirates, will be operational in March.
