Yogi Adityanath took over as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second time today.

The grand swearing-in ceremony is being organized at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, in which PM Narendra Modi, many members of the Union Cabinet, most of the Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states and a large number of people are participating. That Yogi Adityanath was unanimously elected the leader of the newly elected legislature party of BJP on Thursday.

Yogi was elected the leader of the legislature party in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das, who came as an observer.

In the legislature party meeting, Suresh Kumar Khanna, the senior most member of the BJP Legislature Party, proposed the name of Yogi, on which all the MLAs agreed.

Let us tell you, in the recently concluded elections to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the ruling BJP got 255 seats, while its ally Apna Dal Sonelal got 12 and Nishad Party won 6 seats. The government is going to form a government of absolute majority. 37 years before this, in the 1985 assembly elections held under the leadership of Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Congress again formed a government of full majority and Tiwari took oath as the Chief Minister for the second consecutive time.
