The Government of Northern Macedonia says that 26 new anti-crisis measures, worth 400m euros, are already yielding results.

The Government says that with the amendments approved by the Assembly for the laws of VAT and excise, with their proposal as part of the anti-crisis measures, from today the prices of petroleum products and transport fuels have been reduced.

"With the efficient implementation of the procedure, the application of anti-crisis measures has led to a reduction in the price of fuel and with this, gasoline BS-95 has been reduced by 6.5 denars, while diesel by 9 denars.

In line with the reduction of excise and VAT on petroleum products, the price of other fuels has also fallen.

"These are just some of the results of measures to reduce VAT and excise duty on fuel as the only priority of the Government as protecting the standard of citizens and maintaining economic stability.

"With all previous policies, measures and responsible governance, the new government in just 50 days has shown that it can and can meet the challenges," said the Government.

They further add that subsidizing the citizens for electricity, solves the problem with heating in Skopje, we insist on supporting the financially vulnerable categories of citizens for electricity and the purchase of basic products and through a series of measures keep the prices of basic products stable.

"With the new package of 26 measures, 400 million euros from the budget are directed to support citizens and companies.

"In addition to all these measures of the crisis, the Government raised the minimum wage to 18,000 denars and marked a record increase in pensions, including additional financial support for pensioners," said the Government.
