“Gostomel before the war was beautiful, cozy, comfortable, I really liked it.

On February 24, my friends called me with the words: "It's all started!" - and a few hours later Russian helicopters were already flying over Gastomel.

Massive shelling of residential areas and the Antonov airfield began.

My girlfriend and I were shocked and decided not to go anywhere on the first day.

Then the bridges were blown up and it was impossible to leave.

We lived in the residential complex "Pokrovsky".

Now there is little left of him, ”Alyaksandr said.

First, they turned off the lights.

“Our house depends on electricity, so there was nothing to cook or take a shower.

We went to cook next door - they had gas there for the first few days.

Afterwards, food was prepared on the fires.

My neighbors and I lived peacefully, friendly, all supported each other.

The head of the store opened it so that we could get everything we needed until the Russians started robbing.

As a result, our residential complex came under full occupation - Russian tanks and armored personnel carriers were parked in the yard, Russians were walking around the apartments and robbing people, ”Alyaksandr says.

Gastomel

He noted that the Russian military broke down absolutely all the doors in their house - "looking for territorial defense."

This was explained by "security measures".

“They took everything they wanted.

They took away people's last food and water.

They smashed equipment, shot at people ... As a mockery, they gave someone "humanitarian aid" - dry food.

This is despite the fact that they took food boxes from people and took them out, ”Alyaksandr says.

During the bombings, people sat in basements.

Sometimes they returned to their apartments to get warm clothes.

“The door was broken, they stole my laptop and camera.

Maybe something else, I didn’t watch.

It was similar in other people.

Some Russians said they wanted to go home and did not know what they were doing here.

Others told people that "we are saving you."

Others said to us: “You are puppets of the West!

"Litter of the West, our children are suffering through you, who are being brainwashed from the West!"

He saw conscripts and contractors there.

“Everyone was there - from the Kadyrovites and residents of the eastern part of Russia to, so to speak, St. Petersburgers.

Many said that they had already visited hot spots, that is, "work" here for money, "- added Alexander.

The first humanitarian corridor was disrupted - the Russians blocked the buses.

“We miraculously got out of there, and yesterday, March 10, at 7 pm we were in Kyiv.

People walked 10 kilometers on foot, in bad weather, in a storm ... We were walking from Gastomel and saw a high house blown up there.

It burned for about 15 hours.

There were fights around.

I still can't find the words to describe everything that happened there.

Was I scared?

Of course.

But when a mine flew over my head and nothing happened to me, I thought it was not my time.

It was scary.

But when you wake up, there is a close person nearby, if you are healthy and have something to eat ... Values change, needs go to a minimum.

As long as the missiles do not fall on the Kremlin - this is not a war!

This is genocide, Nazism, this is the destruction of all living things, all that is in Ukraine.

Gostomel is no longer fit for life ... There is only the private sector left.

All roads are littered with debris, corpses, blown up by armored personnel carriers, tanks, destroyed buildings around ... This picture is reminiscent of the post-apocalypse, "- says Alexander.
