The trial of Fuzuli Garayev, accused of killing his wife, continues in Baku.

APA reports that Yalchin Maharramov, the father of the murdered Sevinj Maharramova, testified at the trial chaired by Judge Eldar Ismayilov at the Baku Court of Grave Crimes.

Maharramov said that three months after her daughter's marriage, she began to complain about her husband: "There were often arguments, he beat my daughter. The last time the boy's case was handed over to the police.

Commenting on the witness's statement, the accused said that Yalchin Maharramov's statement was false: "I never beat my husband. He ran away to his father's house four months after the marriage. He said he missed it. He returned after a while. But then he left again unnoticed. I called my father-in-law. He came, we looked for him, but we couldn't find him. My father-in-law said that I couldn't do it anymore, kill him, that girl died for me.

Sevinj Garayeva's mother Matanat Maharramova also testified in court.

The victim's mother also said that there were always problems in her daughter's house: "There were always massacres in her house. She said she beat me because the sewer was blocked. So they beat people? The last time she was beaten badly was in March. We were happy, her body was blue. We have a day left. I said take the children back, don't go yourself. He said no, I have to go because of the children. Fuzuli told him what he didn't say, he cooked his head, and the girl left.

Asked about her daughter's joining the feminists, the mother said: "The feminists helped my daughter. They wanted to solve her family problem. Didn't my daughter join the feminists and go wrong? They were all women, not men."

The accused F. Garayev said that his wife was misled: "My wife's aunt misled her and joined the feminists. My husband did not count me when the feminists joined, and this is the reason for the murder."

Ali Hamidov, a neighbor of the victim, was also questioned as a witness.

According to the witness, Fuzuli came to them after killing his wife and then informed the police.

Hamidov also said in his testimony that the accused was a good neighbor and was unaware of any problems in his family.

It should be noted that the district prosecutor's office received information about the murder of Sevinj Maharramova, born in 1997, by her husband on August 3 last year in the Zira settlement of Khazar district.

Preliminary investigations by the Khazar District Prosecutor's Office revealed that Fuzuli Garayev, born in 1979, stabbed Royal Huseynov and Ramil Bashirov, a worker next to him, when he found out that his wife was at the house of her neighbor Royal Huseynov. Sevinj stabbed Maharramova to death with multiple stab wounds.

The Khazar District Prosecutor's Office has launched a criminal case under Articles 120.1 (premeditated murder) and 126.1 (intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code.
