Soviet-made MIG-29 fighter jets at the disposal of the Polish Armed Forces will not be sent to Ukraine.

APA reports quoting NEXTA that the Polish Prime Minister's Office shared this on its official Twitter page today.

At the same time, it was stressed that Ukraine will not allow the use of Polish airfields.

It was noted that Poland provides assistance to Ukraine in other areas.

The Prime Minister's Office also referred to the information of the Polish General Staff that all MiG-29 planes are currently at the country's military bases.

Earlier, a number of Western media outlets reported that Poland would supply MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine and buy F-16s from the United States in return.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who is visiting Moldova today, also told a news conference that Washington and Warsaw are actively negotiating on the MiG-29s that Poland could provide to Ukraine, but no plan has been drawn up.
