The chairman of the Social Democratic Initiative and one of the former KLA commanders Fatmir Limaj has analyzed Russia's attack on Ukraine.

He says what an alliance NATO was and it took him three weeks or a month to get as far as Baghdad, while according to him Russia easily reached Kiev.

Limaj in "Debate Plus" with Ermal Panduri on RTV Dukagjini said that Putin seems to have been misinformed about the mood of the people of Ukraine.

"They expected to make an excursion like in Crimea in 2014, when the Russians invaded without any resistance.

"They thought that in the rest of Ukraine they would be received in silence," he said.

The former KLA commander says that the war in Ukraine is different from all other wars.

"I do not believe that there is a normal person who has waited for a territory such as Ukraine to be occupied in a week or so.

We have seen how Russian forces have entered the border crossings.

It remains to be seen whether this is the strategy of the Ukrainian army or their weakness.

Under normal circumstances we should have seen the war take place on the border.

"But the Russian forces are entering the border points without resistance."

However he says it is illogical the way the Russian army convoy moves.

"They are totally exposed and without infantry protection.

Now the tanks are not moving in stretched military positions, but are walking the streets like at home.

"There is no bigger exposure than the Russian forces."

Limaj says it appears Ukraine has deliberately allowed the Russian military to infiltrate.

"By military logic I know there are three objectives: The purpose of going to war, minimizing the losses of soldiers and minimizing the losses of civilians."

The former KLA commander says Russian tanks inside apartment blocks are easy targets to be fired at by infantry.

Limaj says that for the first time, in a war of this magnitude, it seems that there are more soldiers killed than civilians.

He has doubts about the course of the war so far.

"Normal people did not expect 600 thousand km2 to be occupied in a week with 200 thousand soldiers.

This is impossible.
