Born on October 7, 1952 in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg. By deploying additional S-400 missile systems west of Minsk, the Belarusian news agency BelTA reported, quoted by BTA.

Mr Lukashenko was quoted as saying that missile systems were needed to protect Belarus.

The S-400 is a long-range and medium-range Russian anti-aircraft missile system designed for missile defense against a nuclear triad attack.

It is designed with the ability to destroy all possible space and air means of attack on a potential adversary - reconnaissance aircraft, strategic and tactical aircraft (including - "invisible" aircraft developed by "Stealth" technology), operational and tactical ballistic missiles, medium-range ballistic missiles, supersonic targets, radar reconnaissance aircraft.

The S-400 uses three types of missiles to cover its full range, each with different capabilities.

Each operating system of the complex allows simultaneous firing of up to 36 targets with up to 72 guided missile ammunition.
