With a decree from yesterday, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky established the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

The headquarters was set up "in connection with the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine, which threatens its state independence and territorial integrity, to provide strategic leadership to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations and law enforcement agencies," the document said.

The decree terminates the activities of the military cabinet of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

The working body of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Chairman of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is the President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Volodymyr Zelensky, the coordinator is Oleksiy Danilov.

The new headquarters also includes Prime Minister Denis Shmigal, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky, Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny, Presidential Office Chief Andriy Ermak, Ivan Bakanov - Ukrainian Security Service Chief, Special Operations Commander Commander Grigory Galaga.
