The trial of Tural Zeynalov, the owner of the "Double Fortress" restaurant, accused of using force against police in Shamkir, has ended.

APA reports that the verdict was read in Shamkir District Court.

According to the verdict, Zeynalov was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison.

It should be noted that in June last year, the Shamkir District Police Department received information that a wedding ceremony was held in violation of quarantine rules at the "Double Fortress" restaurant operating in the district.

When police arrived at the restaurant, the owner of the restaurant closed the doors of the facility, obstructed the lawful activities of police officers, then disobeyed the lawful demands of police officers who entered, and committed acts of hooliganism against them.

Officers of the District Police Department detained Tural Zeynalov in accordance with the law and brought him to the department, but the latter continued to commit acts of hooliganism in the police department, using inappropriate expressions and using force.

Tural Zeynalov was charged under Article 315 of the Criminal Code (resistance to or use of force against a government official).
