The Minister of Defense, Slavjanka Petrovska on TV Telma said that the security situation in Macedonia is stable and that the institutions take measures to ensure security, and with NATO membership, the country is now part of the collective security of the alliance.

"NATO membership has its benefits.

"One of the benefits is collective security and I understand that we have obligations as a member of NATO, but so far we have no special obligations, but we are part of decision-making in the alliance," said Petrovska.

She said there is no need for the army to have military readiness because the army has always been ready to respond to challenges.

"There is no need to start the military readiness of the army, but what everyone should know, especially the skeptics, is that the Macedonian Army is always ready," Petrovska said.
