The request for transit of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine has dropped to the level of mid-January and was 49.2 million cubic meters.

This is shown by the data of the company "Operator of the gas transmission network of Ukraine", quoted by TASS.

Gas transit through Ukraine has been declining over the past few days, reaching 69.1 million cubic meters on 15 February.

The direct pumping of gas from Gazprom to Europe via Yamal-Europe stopped on December 21 last year due to a lack of requests from European consumers.

In addition, the March futures of the TTF hub in the Netherlands during the morning trade fell by 4 percent - to $ 844.4 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Earlier, Gazprom reported that since the beginning of the year, gas exports to non-CIS countries have decreased by 35.5 percent (by 9.8 billion cubic meters) to 17.9 billion cubic meters.

However, the average daily gas exports in February increased by almost 18 percent compared to January, the data show.
