The book "78 days of NATO bombing", by the writer, Shyqri Nimani, was promoted at the National Library of Kosovo.

This book talks about the NATO air campaign against Serbia, which lasted a total of 78 days.

The opening of the promotion was made by the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, where he said that today is the ideal day for the promotion of this book, saying that it is good to come back and remember the sacrifices we have made to be here today.

"Today is the ideal day to mark the promotion of Shyqyri Nimani's book called" 78 days of NATO bombing, on the 14th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence, it is good to return to remember what we have gone through and what has brought us here we are today.

In this work, Nimani has collected numerous reports in British newspapers regarding NATO military intervention in Kosovo and Serbia.

It is no coincidence that I believe that Nimani starts this work with a piece from the History of the Balkans… In its 399 pages it reminds us of the friends who helped us and the enemies who hindered us.

It reminds us of the mirrors through which the world has forgiven us during those 7-8 days on fire.

It reminds us of the sacrifices and challenges we have gone through as a people to reach where we are today ", said Kurti.

Professor Lulzim Tafa, told in detail about the content of the book, which he said contained important notes and documents of British newspapers, and that are the reasons why he chose the British press.

"'78 NATO Bombing Days' is a book that covers and collects important articles, photographs, notes and important documents of British newspapers from the day the first Peace Alliance bombings began until the last days that mark the end of the Kosovo war… There are two reasons why Nimani chose the British press to offer readers a degree of coverage of the Kosovo war.

The first reason is to inform the Kosovar readers about the support that the British press offered to Kosovo in the moments of survival, and the second reason is the gratitude and appreciation for this great contribution that the British press gave to the public in England and around the world by informing "the massacres that were being carried out by the military forces", said Tafa.

While the author of the book, Shyqri Nimani said that Albanians are the oldest people.

"I wanted to write a preface because it somehow prevents me from always being spoken of as the youngest state in Europe, but we are actually the oldest nation," Nimani said.

The writer had worked for 7 years to publish this book which has a total of 550 pages. KP/Telegrafi/
