In January of this year, about 98% of the population did not exceed the minimum gas consumption limit (up to 1,200 cubic meters).

APA-Economics reports that Ruslan Aliyev, Director General of Azerigas PU, told journalists as part of the "Open Door" campaign.

According to him, the number of subscribers who did not exceed the limit was 2,360,234.

According to Aliyev, 2.1 or 50,628 subscribers exceeded the limit of gas consumption up to 1,200 cubic meters during the reporting period.

It should be noted that at a meeting of the Tariff Council on October 16 last year, a decision was made to regulate wholesale and retail prices for natural gas.

According to the decision, tariffs for the part of the annual consumption of the population up to 1,200 m3 were increased from 10 to 12 kopecks.

Tariffs for the population up to 1,200-2,500 m3 and for sections over 2,500 m3 did not change to 20 and 25 kopecks, respectively, and remained at the previous level.

Tariffs for non-residential gas for industry and agriculture have been increased from 20 kopecks to 22 kopecks.
