The Ministry of Emergency Situations has organized a mediation in the liberated territories of Agdam.

Media representatives, including APA employees, visited Magsudlu village of the region.

The journalists got acquainted with the demining operation carried out by the Special Risk Rescue Service's Mine Action Regiment and fortification groups in the area.

Sabuhi Sariyev, unit commander of the Special Risk Rescue Service's Mine Action Regiment, told APA that the process of clearing the area of mines, unexploded ordnance and war remnants continues after the 44-day war.

Cleaning operations are carried out, especially around water bodies and canals.

Sariyev also noted that the right and left banks of the Magsudlu canal, which passes through the village of Magsudlu, are being cleared of mines.

During the search, anti-tank mines, anti-personnel mines and unexploded ordnance from the First and Second Karabakh Wars were found.

Specially trained dogs are assisted in cleaning operations.

Once the areas are cleared of mines, the land will be suitable for agriculture.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations once again asks citizens not to cross the illegally mined areas.

At the same time, employees of companies carrying out reconstruction and restoration work in the area, mines and unexploded ordnance, suspicious items not specific to the area should immediately inform the "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 102 hotline of the Interior Ministry.

Employees are equipped with the latest equipment and have been accredited by participating in relevant courses in this field.
