The Government of Kosovo on Friday approved the proposal of the Ministry of Health to facilitate anti-COVID measures.

After the approval of the measures, a press conference was held by the Prime Minister Albin Kurti with the Minister of Health, Rifat Latifi.

Kurti said that the measures taken in these two weeks have succeeded in slowing down the growth of cases, while in terms of vaccination he said that a large number of Kosovo citizens have responded during these two weeks.

"Since the entry into force of the measures, about 40,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered," said the prime minister.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Rifat Latifi announced that the new decision on anti-COVID measures removes the obligation to wear the mask outdoors.

With the new measures the restriction of movement is set to be from 00:00 to 05:00.

Also, entry into Kosovo will be with two vaccines, or one if it is from Johanson, without the need for PCR test, while entry is allowed with one vaccine and negative PCR test done in the last 48 hours.

Also, persons who have passed COVID-19 in the last three months are allowed to enter Kosovo.

The working hours of gastronomy with the release of the masses are enabled to be until 23:00.

It is forbidden to organize festivals and open night clubs;

Libraries, museums, theaters and cinemas operate at only 50 percent capacity;

It is allowed to organize sports competitions and trainings.

The Minister of Health, Rifat Latifi emphasized that they have decided some reliefs, without forgetting the preservation of health.

"We will monitor it, we will meet every week.

Take action by reacting in a timely manner.

Implementation of measures and vaccination remain weapons against the pandemic.

Entry into Kosovo is allowed with the vaccination certificate for full vaccination with two doses or with one dose of Janssen vaccine, which is not more than 12 months after receiving the last dose.

"The single-dose vaccination certificate accompanied by a negative PCR test for COVID-19, not older than 48 hours," he said.

He has announced that the mask is mandatory indoors.
