NATO increases its deployment in Eastern Europe due to fears of a Russian attack on Ukraine (symbolic photo)

Brussels :

In view of Russia's increasing aggression on Ukraine, NATO is now deploying additional ships and fighter planes in Eastern Europe. Seeing the increasing concentration of Russian forces on the border with Ukraine, NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) led by America is making this deployment for the security of Ukraine and Europe. In a statement issued by NATO, it has been told that Denmark is sending a fleet to the Baltic Sea while supporting the coalition forces and is also deploying its four F-16 fighter jets in Lithuania. Spain is also sending its ships to join the NATO Navy and is considering sending its fighter jets to Bulgaria.

Great meeting with @POTUS on European security with #NATO leaders @EmmanuelMacron, @OlafScholz, Mario Draghi, @AndrzejDuda, @BorisJohnson & our #EU partners @eucopresident & @vonderleyen.

We agree that any further aggression by #Russia against #Ukraine will have severe costs.

It has been further told in this statement that France has also expressed its desire to deploy its army in Romania to the NATO command.

The Netherlands is also sending two of its F-35 fighters to Bulgaria from April for NATO's air-security activities, as well as keeping its ships and land forces ready for NATO's response unit.

The US has made it clear that it is considering increasing the deployment of its forces in the eastern areas of NATO.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, "I welcome the deployment of additional forces from allies in NATO. NATO will take all necessary steps to protect and defend all of its allies. There is no need to disturb our security environment in any way." We will respond to every effort. Our joint security will also be strengthened."

Ukraine wants to become a member of NATO but Russia is opposing it.

NATO has said that NATO increased its presence in the eastern regions in response to Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014.

In this, four multinational armies were deployed in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

These teams, led by Britain, Canada, Germany and America respectively, are ready for war.

Their deployment makes it clear that an attack on a single ally will be considered an attack on the entire NATO.

Prior to 2014, there were no NATO forces stationed in eastern NATO countries.
