Maria Pevchykh, an investigator in the Investigation Department of the Bulk Anti-Corruption Foundation set up by the Russian authorities on June 9, told the Insider podcast (the publication was recognized by the Russian authorities as a "foreign agent") and banned its activities.

Sources of Navalny's team believe that the change of security was organized by the FSB, so the video from the hotel cameras in principle could not be Xander employees.

“As a result, when we stopped there, all the cameras were commanded by completely incomprehensible people.

Our source does not know who it is.

He only knows that everything has changed.

For employees, it looked like hiring a new private security company (RS).

And we now understand that this was not a new CHOP, but the FSB.

And they did not steal the recordings from the cells, there the system was originally built in such a way that these recordings would not be in the hotel staff, "- says Singers.

When the plane with Navalny landed in Omsk with signs of poisoning the opposition, the politician's associates returned to the Tomsk hotel room to pick up possible evidence.

They did not manage to get video from the hotel cameras.

According to a joint investigation by The Insider, Bellingcat and CNN with the participation of Der Spiegel, journalists published the names and titles of FSB officers suspected of involvement in the poisoning of Navalny "Newbie". Investigators also noted that the assassination attempt in Tomsk was not the first attempt - two months earlier, the same FSB officers allegedly assassinated an oppositionist in Kaliningrad, nearly killing Yulia Navalnaya. A special unit of the FSB Institute of Forensics allegedly played a key role in the assassination attempt.

Later, Alexei Navalny himself published a continuation of the investigation into the "group of poisoners" from the FSB.

The oppositionist described his conversation with Konstantin Kudravtsev, an alleged employee of the department who could have been involved in his poisoning.

Kudravtsev told many details of the assassination attempt.

He also confirmed that Navalny's life was saved by the actions of pilots and atropine, introduced by ambulance medics, and explained that the poison was applied to underwear, and the transport police helped to destroy the traces of poisoning by the FSB.

On August 20, 2020, Navalny flew to Moscow from Tomsk, where he met with his fans.

On board the plane, the policy became very bad, after which the pilots urgently landed the liner in Omsk, and Navalny was hospitalized in a coma.

Two days later he was taken to a clinic in Germany.

Russian doctors did not find any traces of poisoning in the body of the politician.

In Berlin, experts found the presence of a war poison, similar in composition to the poison "Newbie", which was previously used in the assassination attempt on former Russian GRU officer Sergei Skripal in the British city of Salisbury.

Several independent European laboratories, as well as the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, have confirmed that Alexei Navalny was poisoned with a substance from the group "Newbie".

The Russian oppositionist believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is personally behind the assassination attempt.

The Kremlin denies all charges.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the president, said Navalny was showing signs of persecution and greatness.

The FSB called the investigation of the oppositionist and journalists a "provocation" and a "fake."
