The footballer Lionel Messi tested positive for covid-19 and for that reason he did not travel to France with his teammates Leandro Paredes and Ángel Di María.

This was announced by Paris Saint-Germain in an official statement, detailing that there are also

three other infected squad players who are Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico and Bitumazala.

The tests carried out during the winter holidays and before the resumption of training revealed 4 positive cases of Covid-19 among the players and 1 positive case among the staff.

The affected people are under the current Covid protocols.
