At least three people missing and almost 1,000 homes completely destroyed is the balance of the forest fires that devastated several areas of the state of Colorado, US authorities reported on Saturday.

Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle said at a news conference that at least three people were reported missing,

while it is estimated that at least 991 houses were burned due to the fires that began last Thursday.

“We are very fortunate that we do not have a list of 100 missing persons.

But unfortunately we have confirmed three cases, "

said Pelle.

The official said that an investigation is still open to determine the origin of the fire, which began suddenly in communities in the state of Colorado, in the center of the country, and quickly spread to several urban areas.

Authorities said that about 35,000 people had to leave their residences,
