From keyboards to cell phones, to wearables - we’ll show you the tech gadgets that caught our eye this year.

Despite the pandemic, much has happened in the tech market this year.

These devices aroused our interest:

1. OLED switch

The anticipation for the rumored and anticipated Nintendo "Switch Pro" with 4K games was initially great.

The disappointment was even greater when Nintendo introduced the OLED Switch instead, which built an OLED display instead of an LC display.

On social media, the new keyboard not only sparked hateful comments, but also calls for a boycott.

However, if you hold the OLED Switch in your hands, you will quickly notice that it has been erroneously rejected.

The model is available online from 427.89 euros.

2. Apple AirTag

Apple AirTags that soon made a "riot" after the launch.

In fact, they should provide a simple way to keep an eye on your belongings and quickly and easily find lost keys, wallets or even pets.

But soon there were more cases in which the devices were misused for persecution purposes, i.e. used to track people.

As the iPhone had anti-hacking features shortly after the release of AirTags, the Android Tracker Detect app was also recently released.

It requires trackers for items like AirTags that are separate from their owners.

Specifically, people who are afraid of being spied on with the help of AirTags can find these devices.

AirTags is available on Amazon, among others, for 31.26 euros each.

3. Fairphone 4

Probably no one would have thought that there would even be a fourth generation of Fairphone, especially since most users tend to use the big and well-known brands of mobile phones.

Sustainability seems to be an important topic, as Fairphone's success shows.

The company was able to increase its sales in 2020 by almost 90 percent and thus almost double it.

In total, almost 95,000 devices were sold in 2020.

A few months ago, the company released the fourth generation of the Fairphone.

This will not only be produced in fair production conditions, but was also the first waste-neutral, 5G modular electronic smartphone, says the manufacturer.

Its special feature: it can be repaired by the users themselves.

The battery, camera or screen can be replaced independently.

Unlike other brands, the mobile phone must "last" as long as possible.

In addition, Fairphone 4, which uses Android as the operating system, comes with a 5-year warranty.

The mobile phone can be purchased from the Fairphone online store for 579 euros.

4. Glucose monitoring

Glucose monitoring is essential, especially for diabetics, in order to know about blood sugar levels all the time.

One such device that has received a lot of attention this year is Levels Health.

The product, which is linked to an app, is not a medical product, but a lifestyle product for athletes and, according to Levels, is not intended for diagnosis or treatment.

Levels Health is currently still in beta and should be launched in 2022.

According to TheVerge, there are already over 100,000 people on the waiting list.

If you are interested, you can pre-register for the Metallic Fitness Levels program.

5. Incus Nova

The Incus Nova multi-sport dress may not be familiar to everyone, but it is no less interesting.

It is a small sensor-based device that is attached to the back and tracks performance while swimming, running or cycling.

Unlike a smart watch, the device can monitor the movement of the whole body and give tips on how to adjust it in order to be more efficient and smooth.

The entire Trisport system costs the equivalent of around 585 euros (plus shipping costs) and is available directly from the manufacturer's website.
