The Minister of Justice, Bojan Maricic, in his New Year greeting addressed to the citizens, said that it takes time to amortize the blows to the rule of law, which, as he says, are daily from different centers of power.

"Reforms in the sector I lead are neither quick nor easy.

There are daily attacks on the rule of law, from various centers of power, and dismantling the remnants of the regime in the judiciary requires real time and patience.

However, I am sure that once the problems have already been publicly spoken out and their work resolved and once the real systematic solutions have been finally brought, we must insist on the path we have taken.

"The path of reforms and results will surely come," Maricic said.

Among other things, the minister says that the filtering of the judiciary continues, and due to unprofessional and unscrupulous work, some judges have been dismissed by the Judicial Council.

This year we have received positive reports from the State Department and the European Commission in the field of justice where progress has been made./Telegrafi/
