New Delhi:

The

tax raid at the house of

Uttar Pradesh's perfume trader

Piyush Jain

has taken a political form.

While the opposition is calling this action politically motivated, some parties are telling Piyush Jain and the cash seized from him as belonging to the BJP.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made it clear in a press conference today that the money recovered from Jain does not belong to the BJP.

Sitharaman said, "This is not BJP's money."

In her press conference, Sitharaman said, "Law enforcing agencies work on actionable intelligence in raids. Did the tax officials return empty handed after taking action? Raids were conducted in Uttar Pradesh, including members of the Legislative Council of the Samajwadi Party.
