The Ambassador of Sweden in Kosovo, Mrs.

Karin Hernmarck is one of the most active diplomats on environmental issues in Kosovo.

The ambassador-environmentalist in the message at the end of the year given for the 'Let's talk about air' campaign spoke about air pollution, about small particles that are not visible but that are a silent killer.

Mrs.

Hernmarck said: 'This is part of why air pollution is such a silent killer and you do not notice it and that Stockholm is now also in the yellow scale, so Stockholm is polluted too, so it is not even in in the air is clean.

But overall within the year the air is definitely better.

But it is still dirty.

Ambassador Hernmarck for BB Green Kosovo shared some Swedish solutions: 'We have good quality air because we get electricity from sources that do not pollute the environment in general, such as water energy, and nuclear energy for the most part. We also have a lot of public transport, people use bicycles, do not use cars and do not heat their own homes with whatever they find to burn, most people use city central heating or geothermal heating, which is very popular. So we have no pollution from heating homes', Hernmarck said of the 'Let's talk about air' campaign.

In her message at the end of the year, she addressed environmental issues: “I wish Kosovo a stable future and work towards the well-being of its citizens, and be a little more committed to the environment that is for everyone, such as crises. climate change, air pollution and other environmental issues that affect everyone.

"I often say when we talk about this campaign: everyone is breathing, no one can stop breathing.

We all breathe and we are all affected by it.

So this is an issue from which we are all affected and it affects the health of everyone both children and the elderly.

"This is an issue that needs to unite people in Kosovo to demand change."

Mrs.

Karin Hernmarck chose for the 'Let's talk about the air' campaign to share interesting experiences from Sweden and commitment to the environment by drinking tea in 'Skënderbeu' square in Prishtina where beautiful lodges are located where citizens gather to enjoy the cold days with hot summer in 'Summer In Winter' under festive lights and decorations.
