The Ministry of Health published the analysis of vaccinated people with COVID-19 cases from August 6 to December 23.

The Ministry of Health announces that vaccinated persons are considered vaccinated persons with two doses and that at least 14 days have passed from the receipt of the second dose.

In the period from 06.08.2021 to 23.12.2021 in Macedonia with COVID-19 were diagnosed a total of 66,857 citizens, while 33% of them were vaccinated, respectively 21,806 people.

"There is a large number of unvaccinated people who have been infected with COVID-19", say from the Ministry of Health.

They add that according to data over the past weeks, 45,051 citizens, respectively 67% of cases with COVID-19 have not been vaccinated.

Percentage of hospitalized persons 85% are unvaccinated.

"Mortality among unvaccinated people is drastically higher.

"From the period 06.08.2021 to 23.12.2021 in Macedonia 2,362 people lost their lives, while 1,850 of them were not vaccinated and only 21% were vaccinated", it is said in the announcement of the IPH.

The Ministry of Health emphasizes the importance of the vaccine and that any vaccine is safe.

"We call on the citizens to be vaccinated and only in this way can we achieve collective immunity", it is said at the end of the communiqué. / Telegrafi /
