Migrants were stopped 192,001 times last month, up 9 percent from August, the U.S. Border Guard said.

In September last year, the number of these migrants amounted to only about 58,000.

The United States is increasing the reception of refugees

Recently, the number of monthly migrants caught is very high, even historically.

In July, for example, about 213,000 people were caught, the largest increase in just over 20 years.

For the entire financial year in the United States, which means from October 2020 to September this year, 1.73 million people were caught, the largest number ever reported for the 12-month period.

Last year, for the same period, they were 458,000. Most migrants were immediately deported by US authorities.

Then many of them try their luck again.

The U.S. Border Guard said about a quarter of the migrants caught in September were repeat offenders who had been caught at least once in the past 12 months.

The number of unaccompanied children and minors decreased by 24 percent in September compared to the previous month and amounted to about 14,400, the border guards added.

President Joe Biden

Joe Biden (Joseph Robin Biden) is an American politician. Joe Biden was born on November 20, 1942. He was under increased pressure due to the large number of migrants coming along the southern border.
