The emergency medical assistance center in Dobrich received a new high-passability ambulance under project BG16RFOP001-4.001-0001 "Support for the development of the emergency medical assistance system", implemented under the Operational Program "Regions in Growth" 2014-2020, the Regional Information Center reports – Dobrich (OIC).

The special vehicle acquired by the Center for Emergency Medical Assistance in Dobrich has a 4x4 drive and all the necessary equipment.

The main goal of the project is the renovation and modernization of the building stock and equipment in the emergency care system throughout the country - the emergency departments of 34 hospital care facilities, 27 Emergency Medical Care Centers (EMSCs) and the 170 branches opened to them ( FSMP) and six outsourced teams.

In the implementation of the project, quality, equal and timely access to emergency medical assistance (EMS) services will be ensured for the citizens of the country and those residing on its territory in fulfillment of the strategic guidelines and goals of the National Health Strategy 2020, the Concept for the Development of the System for emergency medical care in the Republic of Bulgaria 2014-2020 and the National Health Card.  

At the beginning of the year, the branch for Emergency Medical Assistance in Bansko also acquired a new ambulance that meets modern criteria for providing emergency medical assistance.

At the end of December 2023, Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov Nikolay Denkov is acting Minister of Education and Science in the cabinet of Ognyan Gerdzhikov.

He handed over the keys to five high-passage linear vehicles to the heads of the CSMP in Sofia, Pazardzhik, Blagoevgrad, Shumen and Smolyan.

They are the first five of a total of 42 off-road ambulances provided under the project "Support for the development of the emergency medical aid system".
