Kondrusevich was last hospitalized last year. On March 3, he was discharged from the medical institution. After returning home, the hierarch thanked "God, the doctors and everyone who prays for him" through the Catholic.by portal.

"When he heard the diagnosis of 'melanoma' from the oncologists, realizing the seriousness of the disease, he repeated the words of the Holy Scripture: 'If we accept good from God, why can't we accept evil?', because maybe the time has come when I become an unnecessary servant. He entrusted himself to God and prayed for health, but at the same time he agreed with God's will." Kondrusevich wrote in his address.

Melanoma is a dangerous oncological disease manifested by the growth of a malignant tumor in the area of ​​the skin or mucous membranes.

The operation to remove the tumor was performed on February 8, 2023. Tadevush Kondrusevich thanked the doctors for their professionalism and sacrificial service to the sick.
