These lovely films adorned with excellent stories and wonderful music fascinate people. During this period, Bollywood got three new superstars who are dominant in films till date. Who am I to you 

When Sooraj Baratajya, who made family films, made the song-filled film Hum Aapke Hain Koun in 1994, it became the highest-grossing film of that year. In this film, Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit were in lead roles and there were many actors along with them. Salman Khan got the most benefit from this film and he became a superstar. This film earned so much that it became the biggest film of the nineties in terms of earnings. Even today people watch this film whenever they get time. 

The brave hearted will take away the bride 

Shahrukh Khan and Kajol's love story Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, released in 1995, became a hit at the box office as soon as it was released. Through this film, the chemistry of Kajol and Shahrukh Khan captured the hearts of people. This film was written and directed by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj banner. Along with the wonderful love story of the film, its songs also became home in the hearts of people. This film is still shown in a cinema hall in Mumbai. 

Raja Hindustani

Dharmesh Darshan's film Raja Hindustani, starring Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles, was released in 1996. Due to its sweet love story, the film proved to be a blockbuster and this further strengthened Aamir Khan's career. Karisma Kapoor got a makeover through this film and got a lot of films in her hands. 


Apart from love stories, in the nineties the film Border, based on patriotism and war, also achieved tremendous earnings and fame. In the film Border directed by JP Dutta in 1997, the India-Pakistan war and the love of its soldiers were made the plot of the story. The film featured actors like Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Akshay Khanna. The song of the film Sandese Aate Hai...was a huge hit. This film also broke many records of huge earnings during its time.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a film based on college and friendship versus love, was a great film of its time. Made under the direction of film maker Karan Johar, this film shows the triangle of friendship and love between Shahrukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee. The songs of the film became a big hit and the film got a tremendous boom at the box office during that period.
