King Philip and Queen Mathilde were greeted by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender. The official welcoming ceremony took place at the Bellevue Presidential Palace in Berlin.

Matilda chose an emerald outfit for a social event. She wore a short jacket and a knee-length skirt with a black cape coat on top. She also matched the outfit with a scarf and a headdress decorated with a feather. Matilda did her hair, wore pearl earrings and wore expressive makeup. Her clutch and gloves were also matched to her main outfit, and she wore several gold bracelets and a favorite watch on her wrist. Leather pumps completed the look.

First Lady Elke Büdenbender chose a sand-colored coat with large patch pockets and a belt at the waist for her appearance, wore black heels and complemented the look with a necklace of black stones. The makeup and hairstyle of the First Lady were as natural as possible.

The men wore classic suits and black long coats, which is logical in cool and even slightly snowy weather.
