DAR ES SALAAM: The country's costume designers have designed and showcased 12 different dresses worn by parents who raise children.
The garment is a special one that will help the person to properly care for a child who is born prematurely in hospital and even after being discharged from the hospital.
The dress design is on display at the "Swahili Fashion Week" exhibition in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking at the exhibition, Doris Mollel, whose foundation is involved in children's issues, said the foundation encouraged designers to sew their clothing to educate the community through various groups.
"Today we have reached out to this fashion industry that touches many people, including young people, a variety of different clothing that can be made and help parents who have children care for their children through Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) and now we also have Champion Baba to do (Kangaroo Father Care – KFC)," he said.
