On December 20, Queen Margrethe II will traditionally go to Marselisborg Palace, where she will celebrate Christmas Eve with the family of Crown Prince Frederik, that is, with his wife Crown Princess Mary and four grandchildren - Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.

As reported by Hello! the Queen will be joined by her youngest son Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie, as well as the couple's two children, Count Henrik and Countess Athena, but his two eldest children will not be present on Christmas Eve.

Joahim's eldest son, Count Felix, will join the family for Christmas, and Count Nicholas will spend Christmas abroad. He is currently studying at the University of Technology in Sydney.

It has also been confirmed that while Margrethe is in residence at Marselisborg Palace, royal fans will see the changing of the guard by the Royal Life Guards every day at noon.
