Neena GuptaNew Delhi:
Neena Gupta recently described feminism as a useless concept during a conversation. Speaking on her podcast with Ranveer Allahabadia, Neena Gupta called feminism "useless" and said there is no need to believe in the concept of equality between men and women. He also said that the day men start getting pregnant, they will be equal to women.
Talking to Ranveer Allahabadia, Neena Gupta said, "I want to say that it is not necessary to believe in 'unnecessary feminism' or the idea that 'women are equal to men'. Instead, focus on achieving financial freedom. If you are a housewife, do not underestimate it. This is an important role. Increase your self-esteem and avoid thinking of yourself as small. That's the main message I want to convey. Apart from this, men and women are not equal. The day men start getting pregnant, we will be equal."
Neena shares an anecdote from her life to emphasize her point
Giving an exam from her life, Neena further said, "You need a man. I will tell a little story. I had to catch a 6 am flight once. I didn't have a boyfriend at that time. When I came out of the house at 4 in the morning, it was dark. A man started following me and I was very scared. I went back home and missed my flight. The next day I booked the same flight, but I stayed at my mail friend's house and he dropped me."
This year, Neena was seen in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway and Vishal Bhardwaj's web series Charlie Chopra and The Mystery of Solang Valley. Apart from this, she also appeared in Lust Stories 2. Neena also has Anurag Basu's Metro these days.
