The HA replied on the 25th to add that the mothers of the two deceased in the incident are still in hospital in Kowloon Hospital and are in stable condition. According to the records, the patient was transferred to Kowloon Hospital for treatment on 5 May, and the hospital immediately referred the case to the medical social worker assigned to the hospital of the Social Welfare Department to follow up on the patient's discharge and care arrangements. The hospital then arranged training for the patient's young son and two brothers to prepare for the patient's home care after discharge.

According to records, the two deceased visited the patient at Kowloon Hospital on their own twice in mid-June and late July, during which they asked to take the patient out of the hospital, but the patient's physical condition was not suitable for discharge at that time, the medical staff refused the request, and the doctor also contacted the patient's young son several times during the patient's stay to discuss the patient's condition and follow-up arrangements. Medical staff also met with the young son of the patient last Saturday (6th) and learned that the two deceased were able to go out and buy food on their own.

The HA expressed its sadness and grief over the incident, and will do its utmost to provide appropriate treatment and support to the patient's family, and will fully cooperate with the investigation of the relevant government departments. The two deceased were re-examined at the Specialist Psychiatric Clinic of Kowloon East Hospital until 2018.

The HA replied that the mothers of the two deceased were admitted to hospital for treatment in May this year and referred to medical social workers to assist in arranging care after their discharge. She is currently in stable condition and a psychiatrist has arranged for follow-up by a psychiatrist, who will closely monitor her condition and mood changes to provide appropriate treatment and support.

The two deceased were re-examined at the Kowloon East Hospital Network Psychiatric Specialist Clinic between 2004 and 2018, which is a stable case. The two have not been seen again since February and March 2018 respectively.
