'Body of Lies' is a 2008 American spy action thriller film. It was directed by Ridley Scott. Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe were in the lead role in this film. The film tells a story of the efforts and missions of usa and Jordanian intelligence agencies, CIA and GID to capture a terrorist.

Do you know that veteran actor Nana Patekar was offered a role in this Hollywood film but he refused to be a part of this spy thriller. In a recent media interview, the actor was asked why he said no to a Hollywood film even after getting an offer. To this, Nana replied, "It was because I didn't feel confident speaking dialogues in English. I don't have that flow. I could remember and do it anyway... But I didn't like the role that was offered to me." I don't like people who like my work or love me to see me doing that role. It was in Leonardo DiCaprio's 'Body of Lies'."

The actor shared that he worked in an American film 'The Pool', which released in 2007 and is based on Goa. "I did a film called The Pool... They knew Anurag Kashyap and they said that they wanted such a face for the actor, Anurag told them about me, then the person came to meet me and asked me if I would do the role? I asked how many days the shoot will take and he said 7-8 days. Then we shot the film in 10 days. I said okay. This film went on. Everything was at hand. That film won the Best Critics Award at the Sun Dance Film Festival.

Nana Patekar will now be seen in the film 'The Vaccine War' being directed by Vivek Agnihotri. The film is based on how Indian scientists created a vaccine to protect against the Covid-19 virus. The film, starring Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Girija Oak and Raima Sen, among others, will be released in theaters on September 28.
