Audrey Hepburn is one of the most famous actresses of the 20th century. On the screen, she charmed the audience with her sincerity, tenderness and beauty, leaving a pleasant aftertaste after each film where she played. However, in ordinary life, the actress was not so happy, because she had been trying to find love for many years.

She was married twice, and her first marriage took place on September 25, 1954. Audrey's husband was the American actor and director Mel Ferrer, whom she met while working on the play Ondine. For the ceremony, Audrey chose a laconic white midi dress with a fluffy skirt, translucent puffed ball sleeves and a stand-up collar. The front of the dress had delicate buttons.

This outfit was complemented by tall white elbow-length gloves, a satin belt at the waist that was tied with a large bow on the back, as well as shoes and a cute wreath of flowers that she wore on her head. The dress was designed for the actress by Pierre Balman, the founder of the French fashion house Balmain.

The wedding took place in Bürgenstock, Switzerland. They lived together for 14 years: from 1954 to 1968. In 1960, after several miscarriages, Audrey Hepburn gave birth to a son, who was named Sean Hepburn Ferrer.
