DAR ES SAALAM: The Supreme Council of Muslims in Tanzania BAKWATA Dar es Salam Region has provided relief to patients at Muhimbili National Hospital and Ocean Road Cancer Institute.

Speaking today while delivering the aid, Dar es Salaam Regional Sheikh, Walid Omary said they had participated in social activities including the clean-up of the Fish Ferry in line with the theme of Maulid Week of "apostle and community".

He said that as leaders, their plan is to continue to promote equality in society in the national interest regardless of religion or ethnicity, it is only one to provide aid to those in need.

"I ask Tanzanians and the community at large to see the importance of building a culture of visiting our brothers and sisters in hospital and comforting them not to wait until you have your brother to visit those places to remember that sickness is also part of worship.

Chairman of BAKWATA Region Sheikh. Dr Hussein Afif stressed the importance of communities uniting to help those in need, including patients in various hospitals, to enable them to continue their productive activities.
