Shilpa Shetty's childhood picture
New Delhi:Shilpa Shetty has returned to the silver screen to entertain the audience with her latest release 'Sukhi'. This film is the first film made under the direction of Sonal Joshi. Fans were a little excited because of Shilpa Shetty but the film failed to impress and its start at the box office looked very poor. According to the report of tracking website Sacnilk, Shilpa Shetty's film Sukhi had a very slow start and according to rough data, it earned only Rs 30 lakh on the first day.
Sukhi is the story of a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife 'Sukhi' Kalra, who takes a break from her daily life and goes to Delhi to meet her friends for a school reunion. Within just seven days, he gets many different experiences. Sukhi revives her 17-year-old version. Directed by Sonal Joshi, Sukhi also stars Chaitanya Chaudhary, Kusha Kapila, Amit Sadh and Nitanshi Goyal in lead roles. The film was released in theaters on Friday. The film came to compete with Vicky Kaushal's 'The Great Indian Family', but both films got a loose start.
Talking about the film, Shilpa Shetty revealed in an interview with Money Control why she chose this role and said, "In the three decades of my career, I have actually come to believe that characters choose you and you don't choose characters. There was a time when I was offered a film and I thought I wouldn't be able to do it because I wasn't in the right mindset at that time and today I am very happy that I waited for the producers of this film and director Sonal believed in me and did not contact anyone else.
