National Cinema Day to be celebrated on October 13

The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) on Thursday announced that October 13 this year will be celebrated as National Cinema Day. On this day, movie fans will be able to watch the film in theaters at only 99 per person in theaters across the country. Over <>,<> screens from India, including PVR Inox, Cinepolis, Mirage and Deloitte, have joined hands to participate in the National Cinema Day celebrations, the release said.

"On this special occasion, people of all ages will come together to enjoy a day of cinema and celebrate the box office success this year," the release said.

"A heartfelt thank you to all the fans who contributed to this success and an open invitation to all the fans who have not yet made their way to the theatres," the association said. National Cinema Day was celebrated on September 13 last year and 99 lakh people watched the film in theaters across the country in a single day.
