MWANZA; Police in Mwanza are detaining and questioning seven people on suspicion of rigging seventh-grade exams by taking secondary students and conducting the exams on behalf of seventh-grade students.
Mwanza Regional Police Commander Wilbroad Mutafunga said the incident occurred on September 13 this year at Igulumuki Primary School, Igulumuki County, Sengerema.
He said this was revealed when the Sengerema District Exams Committee visited the school for an inspection and found the fraud, with the number two and three stream being entered by three secondary students and taking the seventh grade exams.
