After the police investigated the incident, a 30-year-old local man was arrested in Yuen Long District yesterday (20th) afternoon on suspicion of "indecent assault", and he was accused of insulting an 18-year-old woman at a university orientation event earlier. Police said that the arrested man has been provisionally charged with two counts of indecent assault and that the case will be arraigned at the Fanling Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning (9 September).

The Police said that they had recently noticed relevant posts on the Internet and received a report from the public on 8 August that a student was suspected of committing a crime during a university orientation event. Officers of the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North took over the investigation. The case is still under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to provide should contact the investigators at 28 3661 or 3359 5563.
