Geeta Kapoor to be judge with Farah Khan

New Delhi:

Sony Entertainment Television's desi dance reality show 'India's Best Dancer 3' is going to celebrate '110 years of cinema unmatched' this weekend. Giving a tribute to the glorious journey of Indian cinema, all the contestants and their choreographers will give a strong performance on the songs of the best stars like Raj Kapoor, Kishore Kumar, Shammi Kapoor, RD Burman and Amitabh Bachchan, as well as bollywood's most memorable couples like Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. Renowned filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, who has been an integral part of Indian cinema for the past several years, will bring an extra dose of entertainment in this luxurious environment. As a special guest on the show, Farah Khan will give a glimpse of the Guru-Shishya tradition, where she will meet her student Geeta Kapoor.

The unique feature of this show is that the instructor dances with his trainee and emphasizing on this quality, Farah Khan says, "The best thing about India's Best Dancer is that it follows the Guru-Shishya tradition, which I feel is lost somewhere in today's time. We don't believe in this tradition anymore. Michael Jackson was my mentor, even though he didn't train me. A guru is someone from whom you take inspiration and learn. In this show, many disciples will come out as gurus and I am sure that soon one of them will be seen sitting on the judges' chair. It's a great opportunity to learn, grow and respect what they're doing."

Sharing her experience of sitting on the judges' panel with her mentor Farah Khan, Geeta Kapoor said, "It has always been a great experience to be involved with Farah Khan. Every disciple wants to reach the status of his guru by trying. It is an achievement for me to sit next to him and share the same panel with him. I look forward to such moments because it reminds me of where I came from. It takes me back to the phase from where I started my journey." Watch 'India's Best Dancer 3' at 110 pm this weekend at 8 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
