A family murder case occurred in Guilin Street, Sham Shui Po, today (5th), and three young sisters aged 2, 4 and 5 years old respectively were suspected of being baked to death, and after being sent to the hospital in a coma for rescue, they all died. When meeting the media, Chief Secretary for Administration Chan Kwok-kee said that he was very saddened by the incident, stressing that children are not accessories of parents and need to be protected, "people will always be happy, housing enterprises have bad intentions, but a law cannot be vented on children", and hoped that all walks of life would help families with problems, "to avoid tragedies, there are too many cases".


The Secretary for Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Ms Mak Mei-kuen pointed out that the Government, together with the University of Hong Kong, will hold an emotional support seminar at the Sham Shui Po Neighbourhood Welfare Association at 7pm tonight, and the Care Team will assist in identifying hidden families and referring them to relevant departments for follow-up.


Chen Guoji said that he is very sad about today's murder, and he hopes that any adult, even if he is unhappy, unhappy in the family, or has emotional problems, cannot vent his emotions on his children, and all children have the right to life, not the accessories of their parents, and need to be protected.

Ms Mak said that she was very saddened by the incident and that the Home Affairs Commissioner, together with the University of Hong Kong, held an emotional support seminar at Sham Shui Po Neighbourhood Welfare Council at 7pm tonight, calling on the distressed to attend and receive professional assistance.

She also pointed out that there are eight ethnic minority centres in the community to facilitate their integration into the community, and the newly established Care Team can set up a network to disseminate government messages and identify hidden families with special needs for follow-up by referral departments.
