It is named after his great-great-great-grandfather George, his grandfather George and my grandfather Ronald.

As the princess's mother, Sarah of York, said, she gave birth at the end of May, as planned in time. Eugenie and Jack now have two sons. The couple's firstborn – August – was born in September 2021.

The first picture showed a newborn sleeping, wearing a blue knitted hat, and the second showed Augustus gently touching his younger brother's head.

Newborn Ernest became the 13th in the line of succession to the British throne immediately after his elder brother Augustus. Ernest is also the first of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren, born after her death in September, and the third grandson of Prince Andrew and Sarah of York.
