World's first 3D printed temple to come up in Telangana

The world's first '3D-printed' Hindu temple is being built in Telangana. City-based real estate company Apsuja Infratech is constructing it on a 800,<> sq ft area at Burugupalli in Siddipet. Apsuja Infratech is taking the help of '<>-D printed' construction company SimplyForge Creations for this project and this temple is being constructed in the Charvitha Meadows project area.

Hari Krishna Jeedipally, managing director of Apsuja Infratech, said, "The three sanctums inside the structure are symbols of Modak, which is considered dear to Lord Ganesha. There is a Shivalaya and a lotus shaped chamber is for Goddess Parvati.

In March, SimplyForge Creations in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad, built India's first 'prototype' bridge in less than two hours.

Dhruv Gandhi, CEO, SimplyForge Creations, said, "This too was finalised at Charvitha Meadows, Siddipet. The concept and design was conceptualised and designed by Professor KVL Subramaniam and his research group from the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Hyderabad.

The work of constructing a lotus shaped temple is currently underway at the project site. "With the completion of the construction of the Shivalaya and Modak, the construction work of the lotus structure and gopuram in the second phase is underway," Jeedipalli said.

"We have already proved that giving shape to a Ganesh temple was almost impossible with conventional technology, but it could be done easily through 3-D technology. Now, the construction of the lotus structure will once again make the world aware of the use of 3-D printing in the construction industry.
