The Ministry of Health, together with the Azerbaijani University of Medical Sciences (ATU) and the Azerbaijani Pediatric Association, launched a comprehensive screening campaign for children on June 1.

The EPA reports that the action at ATU's Teaching Surgery and Teaching Therapeutic Clinics provides screening and ambulance treatment-profile services by a professional doctor's team
specializing in a variety of fields.

According to Fariz Camalov, chief physician at the Teaching Surgery Clinic, the action for the martyrs and Ghazi children will last three days. The action aims to detect diseases in children in a timely manner, to be properly treated, and even to undergo surgical procedures if necessary.

Farid Eyvazov, director of the Teaching Therapeutic Clinic, said that 25 of the clinic's colleagues were involved. During the day, 150-200 gasoline and Witness children are provided with unpaid medical care.

He has also pointed out that open door days will be held at the clinic each month and that children will be examined without charge.
