During May 2023, the State Border Service continued to combat the illegal circulation of smuggling, smuggling, and narcotics.

The EPA reports that the State Border Service's Press Center has leaked information about the case.

It is reported that during the month, 48 people were detained for crossing the state border, 21 of them were citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 8 Nepal, 7 India, 4 Pakistan, 2 Turkey, 1 Afghanistan, 1 Algeria, 1 Ghana, 1 Uzbekistan, and 2 Armenian citizens.

As part of their efforts to combat illegal immigration, 24 people attempted to cross the state border with fake date seals and a falsified passport.

For violating border regulations, 920 people were detained and appropriate measures were taken.

As a result of anti-crime measures, 286 people searched by the Azerbaijani Republic's law-enforcement agencies have been detained, 449 have been banned from leaving the country, and 19 who have been banned from entering the Republic of Azerbaijan.

As part of the fight against the illegal circulation of narcotics, 118 kg (383 grams) of narcotics and 1180,<> psychotropic pills have been detected.

As a result of efforts to combat smuggling, a total of 612,36 tons of smuggling, including drugs, mobile phones, and tobacco products, have been stored.
