We found this archival photo taken that day, May 31, 1945. It depicts sisters – Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret.

Elizabeth, 19, and Margaret, 14, proudly hold a silver cup presented to them as first prize at the Royal Equestrian Show in Windsor. They ride in a horse-drawn carriage driven by Princess Elizabeth.

The future queen is dressed in a coat in a small print, gloves, and a scarf is tied on her head. Her sister is also wearing a coat and headscarf, with a brooch pinned to her collar.
