Abbas Seyidov, director-general of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology, was discharged.

According to the EPA, the decision was made at the next meeting of the Board of Travel of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences.

It has been reported that Abbas Seyidov was dismissed as director-general of the Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology.

Aynur Mahmoudova, director of the Department of Human Resources and Philosophy of Philosophy at the AMEA Traveling Committee, was also confirmed as chairman of the Working Group on the AMEA Traveling Committee.

At the same time, the AMEA Traveling Committee has been revisited in accordance with the functions of a number of departments.

It is noteworthy that the meeting discussed changes in the structure of the AMEA Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology and the Institute of History in the name of Abbasqulu Master Bakıxanov. It has been noted that ethnic studies are now one of the scientific aspects of the AMEA Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology, but ethnography is primarily a study of ethnic traditions, culture, history, and ethnicity. It has been noted that ethnic studies at the institute are conducted by the Department of Ethnicity, Historical Ethnography, and Modern Ethnography of Turkish peoples, and studies have shown that ethnic studies at the institution encompass more historical direction. Therefore, there is a great need for ethnic studies to be further linked to the activities of the Institute of History in the name of Abbasqulu Master Bakıxanov.

The Board of Travel has decided that the Ethnography, Historical Ethnography, and Modern Ethnography departments of The AMEA Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology have been transferred to the AMEA Institute of History in the name of Abbasqulu Master Bakıxanov.

Academic Jesus Habibbagli said that the decision would further develop ethnography in the light of modern-day calls, elevate it to the level of ethnology, and ensure that new phase research will be published in the journal Ethnology, which is planned for future publication at the Institute of History.
