The saga of two premature twin babies at the Kaliua Health Centre in Tabora province and caused a stir after one twin had one eye and forehead skin ended after they were officially buried at their home in Kalemela Light, Union County in Urambo district after the family was satisfied with the government's actions.

Speaking after the funeral, the children's father, Isaac Rafael, urged the government to take the remaining steps to court the accused and ensure justice was done by finding other perpetrators who had cooperated with the nurses.

"The government should not only end up with those nurses but follow the chain of other beneficiaries of the evil committed against my sons and that will help to stop such incidents in the future," he said.

His father and Isaac Rafael, Macho Maulid and his younger father, Alex Paul, thanked the government, especially the district commissioner's office, for the cooperation they showed throughout the disaster until the funeral.

"From the first day we went to his office he has accompanied us to the health centre and then he came home two, three times and to this day we are with him here at the funeral, we ask that he not be tired of taking drastic action against those responsible for the other poor people," Paul said.

For his part, Kaliua District Commissioner Dr Rashid Chuachua who attended the tragedy urged the people of Kaliua not to lose confidence in the health services in the district because of the incident as the government will continue to take steps to ensure the safety of its citizens.

"I call on the people of Kaliua that this incident has occurred at our health centre not to discourage the health services in Kaliua District are challenging, what I want to say is that the government is well organised and will act at any time and in any sector where it is unusual the government will act and will continue to protect the interests of the people, "He said.
